Some years are measured in semesters. Mine are also measured in summer trips, afternoon practices, and film rolls (yes, the digital kind still have soul).
I row for the Vashon Island Rowing Club on Vashon Island, Washington—afternoons and evenings on Quartermaster Harbor with a boathouse community that shows up for each other.

Regatta times since fall 2025 — Head of the Lake, American Lake Fall Classic, Tail of the Lake, Vancouver Lake Sprints, Swiftwater Sprints, Northwest Regionals.
Wilderness canoe tripping (2024–present) — Each summer, I head back to Camp Wabun for days of maps, cook fires, and carrying gear between bodies of water that do not care about my schedule.
